We found Maze Bar Dalat after watching hearing whispers about a “bar you have to find your way through.” Naturally, curiosity got the better of us.
The entrance feels normal enough – you walk into the ground floor and find a cozy little bar counter. Here, you can get a drink from the bartender, by selecting your choice of drink from the menu.
Expect a choice of beers, cocktails, and simple mixed drinks.
Once you order and pick your drink, you are asked to start at the basement, and make your way up to the 2nd floor of the bar. That’s when the real adventure begins.
The basement opens into a twisting, turning maze.
It’s dimly lit, covered in colorful graffiti, murals, and strange sculptures. There are looped staircases, dead ends, dark corners and tiny passages that can actually get you lost.
It took us over 6 minutes to finally find our way up to the second floor, though some people reportedly take even longer!
Reaching the 2nd floor felt like a reward in itself. There you can find another bar area with Chilled-out seating and a fantastic open view of Dalat city.
